Dr. Michael Kalichman, a distinguished member of the Division of Neuropathology within the Department of Pathology at UC San Diego, stands as a beacon of integrity in research ethics. In 1997, recognizing the critical need for a centralized hub dedicated to research ethics, Dr. Kalichman assumed the role of the founding director of the UC San Diego Research Ethics Program.
