Rudy Hasl
Dean Hasl has served a total of 27 years as dean at three other ABA law schools, including Saint Louis University, St. John’s University and, most recently, Seattle University. He has a successful track record in fundraising, capital improvement planning and oversight, and institutional reputation building. At Seattle, his tenure as dean resulted in that law school moving from the fourth tier to the second tier in the U.S. News & World Report law school rankings and earning high marks in other areas as well.
He also has extensive experience in leadership positions within the ABA, the Association of American Law Schools, and the Law School Admissions Council, having recently completed a term on its Board of Trustees. Dean Hasl has served as Chair of the ABA Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar and its Accreditation and Standards Review Committees. The ABA recently appointed him to the Council on Legal Education Opportunity (CLEO).
In addition, his four years as a member of the Thomas Jefferson School of Law Board of Trustees from 2001-2004 have familiarized him with the issues and opportunities facing the law school. The Board of Trustees has expressed great confidence that the law school will continue to grow and prosper with Dean Hasl’s leadership and the support of the law school community.
